Why do we get Food Cravings?
Why do we get food cravings? Where does the craving come from? Do you get an overwhelming, uncontrollable need to eat the whole bar of chocolate or packet of biscuits? You can’t stop yourself until all that is left are just the crumbs on the plate or the empty chocolate wrapper.
Then, afterwards the sense of disappointment that the craving has won again. Do you recognise this behaviour? Ask yourself ‘What negative emotions am I stuffing down and why?
What can EFT do?
EFT can reduce or eliminate emotional overeating: If you have been using food to “tranquilize” years of past emotional hurts, then you may find EFT to be your best friend. EFT can bring you emotional peace which, in turn, can lead to more sensible eating habits. This emotional contributor, which EFT is designed to address, is the missing piece in most weight loss programs.
Long term weight loss is unlikely to happen as long as people have unresolved emotional issues that show up as personal unrest and cry out to be tranquilized by food, food and more food. Until these emotions are properly resolved, no progress will be made and the need for ‘comfort foods’ will win out every time.”
